TSI plan 24-25
Armstrong High School has received a Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) designation for students with disabilities as a subgroup in 2023. This designation is made based on the performance of the subgroup on state assessments in combination with other factors like attendance, graduation rate, and achievement of career standards benchmarks. Armstrong High School received this designation as a result of performance below the cut score on state assessments and graduation rate for students with disabilities. Under current federal law, the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) takes a three tiered approach to identifying schools that may be in need of support. TSI is the third tier in this system intended to serve as an early warning system for at-risk student groups and as a signal to schools that may be at future risk for more intensive support and improvement strategies that include Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (A-TSI). Schools designated for TSI are required to develop building level improvement plans that look at strengths and challenges, and set conditions for improved student outcomes. That plan is posted below. TSI designations are done on a yearly basis and issued per a new data set yearly.
