Dear Parent/Guardian:

PSSA testing will be given to 7th and 8th grade students at Armstrong Jr./Sr. High School on the following dates:
Grades 7 & 8
April 16 ELA Section 1
April 17 ELA Section 2
April 18 ELA Section 3
April 29 Math Section 1
April 30 Math Section 2

Grade 8 only
May 1 Science Section 1
May 2 Science Section 2

Your child’s presence at school on these dates will be greatly appreciated. Please avoid scheduling any necessary appointments during testing days.

Cell phones are strictly prohibited during testing. Please see the attached letter from the PA Department of education outlining consequences for using a cell phone or electronic device in testing rooms.

Parents/Guardians wishing to view the assessments may do so March 25-29 by contacting the guidance office at 724-548-7600 x1826 . Confidentiality agreements must be signed. After viewing the test, if parents/guardians find the test to conflict with their religious beliefs and wish the student(s) to be excused from the test, a written request must be submitted to the Superintendent through the student(s) school.
