Armstrong High School Raises Big Money For Local Families

KITTANNING:  During the late night hours of March 24, and the early morning hours of March 25, Armstrong Jr/Sr High School held their 'Hawk THON', a smaller version of the fundraising campaign put on every year by Penn State University students.

Students, who divided up into groups and raised money, danced during the event, with the proceeds being split among local families in need.  The students set a goal of raising $4,000.00 for this years event, but they far surpassed that goal, raising a whopping $15,030.25!

The student co-chairs for this years event were Madi Titus, Mason Flanigan, Kaylee Hough, and Eva Crawford. They put a lot of time and effort into planning a wonderful event--along with the STUCO officers-- Owen Zablocki, Sylvia Hamilton, Olivia Emmonds, and Ally Velcko and all the various committees.
